Staten Island Multiple Myeloma Support Group receives $1500 from The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation

The Staten Island Multiple Myeloma Support Group was one of the seventeen recipients of a $1,500 award from the The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation.   Since the foundation’s inception in 2011, it has awarded a total of $161,310 to non-profit organizations and scholarship recipients.  Laura Mooney, SIMMSG co-founder, said that the award money would be used for the groups participation in an upcoming health fair to spread awareness of this rare cancer.  Read the full article from Staten Island Live here.
